My semi-abstract work related to details of old and disused agricultural and industrial machinery and steam locomotives.
It is a personal response to the natural process of decomposition and regeneration which takes place in everything that has been engineered by man and subsequently abandoned or neglected.
I use strong colours and bold contrasts to draw attention to that which is usually overlooked and passed by un-noticed.
I hold a DipHE with distinction from Dartington College of Art; am a member of The Guild of Railway Artists, and have been awarded the Rita Benson Memorial Award by the Folkestone Art Society in 2009.”
